Background :
In a competitive environment, SNCF needs to consolidate its position as a benchmark industrial operator. It was essential for them to find solutions to produce better and more cheaply. To maintain and develop their business, it was essential to standardize their production processes, while developing their agility. This is why the SNCF, currently organized into 5 limited companies, wanted to build on its land. Currently, they rent buildings belonging to a third party, which are not suited to their activity. They would like to be able to regroup and optimize their surface areas in order to gain in productivity.
Objectives :
The main aim of this project is to bring the store closer to the production site owned by SNCF. Several objectives follow from this goal:
- Unification of strategic business vision with real estate expertise to create a shared development and investment program.
- Adaptation, rationalization andoptimization industrial processes to improve productivity in line with business strategy.
- The rationalization by investing in buildings to bring them into line with current standards and to make savings.
- L'mproving working conditions.
Results :
- Reorganization of the storage warehouse after flow analysis and proposal for optimized zone layout
- Reorganization of the tertiary and loading/unloading areas
- Reorganization of material input, preparation and output areas
- Massification of storage spaces
- Reorganizing flows
