Fill out the following form to register for the training course.

The "Managing a performance improvement workshop using Lean tools - Green Belt level" certification trains trainees to optimize processes using Lean principles. It enables managers and technicians to lead improvement workshops, from the simple to the complex, to increase operational efficiency and competitiveness.

Objectives

Master the concept & principles of lean

Get an overview of tools Lean

Identify losses & opportunities for process improvement

Apply lean to your scope and processes

Pedagogy

4 days of classroom training

Content of skills validation tests

Written assessment (E1) - 50 minutes
This consists of 2 questionnaires, "General" and "
Lean - Green Belt" (via the UL6S online certification platform), and assesses mastery of knowledge and skills relating to Lean principles and tools.

Technical file (E2) - 1h15 maximum
On the basis of several proposed case studies, the candidate presents a written dossier (via the UL6S online certification platform) that addresses targeted skills such as workshop organization, initial process measurement, root causes of the problem, optimization solutions and control measures.

Summary report (E3) - 20 minutes maximum
A summary report (via the UL6S online certification platform) takes up all the case studies covered in the technical file, and validates the candidate's ability to implement a continuous improvement approach.

Additional interview (E4)
The jury may request an additional interview (20 minutes) if it feels that it lacks sufficient information to make a decision on awarding certification after the initial tests.

Official results will be notified in writing no later than one month after the tests.

Catch-up

If any criteria are not validated, make-up tests can be organized using the same pedagogical methods as for the initial application (reduced price for retaking the certification).
In the event of an acceptable application, the candidate has 2 months to propose corrective action following the jury's report.
After a 15-day reminder with no response, the application is cancelled. Catch-up elements are assessed by the original jury.

Certification through UL6S accreditation.

The 5 principles of Lean

1.identify the value :

  • The concept of process
  • Customer focus
  • Takt Time
  • Value from the customer's point of view
  • Value added (VA)
  • Non Necessary Added Value (NNVA)
  • Unnecessary Non-Value Added (NNVA)
  • Muda, Mura, Muri

2.identify the value stream :

  • Process mapping tools
  • Sequence analysis
  • Spaghetti diagram
  • Flow chart
  • Simogram
  • Yamazumi
  • Makigami
  • Crosby's turtle
  • Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
  • Process performance indicators
  • Lead Time
  • Crossing time
  • Process efficiency
  • Little's Law

3Encouraging process flow :

  • The 7+1 wastes
  • TRS
  • Constraints & bottlenecks
  • The house Lean
  • Jidoka
  • 5S
  • Poka Yoké
  • Andon
  • TPM
  • JAT
  • Flows (push, pull, tense, synchronous)
  • Mizusumashi
  • Karakuri
  • Kitting
  • SMED
  • One piece flow
  • UAP

4Pulling the flows :

  • Search for causes of loss
  • Brainstorming
  • Affinity diagram
  • Ishikawa
  • 5P, Cause tree
  • Finding solutions
  • Kanban
  • Heijunka
  • Inventory management (ABC, XYZ)
  • Select solutions (Multi-criteria matrix, Pugh, Eisenhower)
  • Testing solutions (pilot project)
  • Risk analysis (FMECA)
  • Action plan (PDCA)

5.Continuous improvement :

  • Standardize (SOP)
  • Staff training (versatility, multi-skilling)
  • Monitor, control & improve (management visual, AIC, Kaïzen)
  • Physical Performance Indicators (PPI)
  • Genba Walk
  • Kaikaku
