How to exceed EN9100 with AIMM?

How can an aerospace or defense company stand out from its EN9100-certified competitors? How can it improve the quality of its products and services, as well as its industrial performance? How can it develop and embed a genuine culture of continuous improvement within its teams?

These are just some of the questions being asked by companies seeking to improve their performance and satisfy a greater number of customers.

What is AIMM?

AIMM has been designed by the IAQG (International Aerospace Quality Group) to help a company develop its Management Quality System, from the initial implementation - often done on an ad hoc or reactive basis - through to becoming a recognized benchmark in its industrial field, for its performance and for the quality of its products and services, a path which naturally includes EN9100 certification.

AIMM makes it possible to clearly set and measure improvement targets, provide evidence of progress, motivate teams and raise the level of quality and maturity throughout supply chain.

The AIMM can be used for a number of purposes:
-
Measure the maturity level of the entire QMS, or just of a part presenting a particular interest or risk.
- Obtain ideas for developing or improving the QMS (EN9100 certified or not).
-
Check the QMS's level of readiness for a 9100 certification audit.
-Determine an improvement plan for a critical area of the organization.
- Set clear, quantifiable improvement objectives, and verify their achievement.
- Establish or support an internal audit program focused on improvement.
-
...

The AIMM approach not only improves industrial performance, but also encourages a proactive mindset: "corporate performance is everybody's business!"

Axsens' support bte in setting up AIMM

AXSENS-bte can help you determine the scope and objectives of the AIMM assessment, plan and carry out the assessment, and identify any necessary improvements.

AXSENS-bte can train and coach your assessors on the AIMM approach and the associated tool, so that they can carry out self-assessments within your company.

AXSENS-bte can carry out the assessment if resources are lacking or unqualified.

Once the AIMM approach is in regular use within your company, AXSENS-bte can help you deploy the AIMM approach among your suppliers, to help some of them in their development (who will then use AIMM on their own), to determine certain areas for improvement, or to determine the level of monitoring of your suppliers.
