The human factor is the term used by specialists in personal safety and plant security to describe human behavior in the workplace. It is frequently invoked in the analysis of industrial disasters and workplace accidents, and in trials and commissions of inquiry.
It also refers to all the factors specific to the functioning of a human being, alone or in interaction with a group. These may be of a cognitive, physiological, ergonomic, social, psychological, sociological or even ethnological nature.
It is a powerful lever for improving the safety of your facilities, as well as your economic performance.
