Samson - Axsens bte

Background :

SAMSON, located in Vaulx en Velin, manufactures high value-added valves. It has 190 employees on site and two main activities: machining and assembly
. The scope of the audit covers the assembly workshop, which is currently on two separate levels, with small parts upstairs and valves on the ground floor
. Planning is done on a weekly basis, with no order scheduling, so the workshop's workload is unknown and it is not possible to adapt resources to the workload. It would be useful for the sales and distribution department to be able to interact with order scheduling.

Mission :

  • Analyze the existing situation through a diagnostic phase: use an audit matrix to assess the operational performance of the assembly workshop.
  • Definition of the action plan by identifying areas for improvement
  • Prioritization of defined actions and associated risks
  • Supporting transformation: Targeted organization and interactions, performance management , assistance with implementing actions, training and skills development, etc.

Objectives :

  • Make the "assembly" process more robust,
  • Automate tasks that can be automated.
  • Improve planning,
  • Implement a system for measuring activity and associated KPIs to ensure effective management of activity (workload/capacity).
